RE: RE: A trip to Silver Star MontanaHawk,
Thank you for the kind words; I will now try to explain what I learned about the the prospects for further discoveries on the property. To do this, it would be helpful to you to go to the company website and open up the Gallery of pictures.
Picture #19 is the infrastructure of the old Broadway mine where about 150,000 ounces of Gold were removed over 50 year interval using very old methods of extraction.( If the Madison mine were to yield similar amounts, the rock value of the gold alone would be over 1/4 of a BILLION dollars!!) To the left of that mine is a rather sharp dropoff that is depicted in #23 and 24. The mine tunnel of the Madison is there. Also this happens to be a "contact" point between the 2 rock structure "systems". To the left in the picture is the "intrusive" system and to the right the Limestone system. The nomenclature I am using is my own and not a geological definition. Picture # 25 is the office looking SW / W and #26 shows the general nature of the land as it looks towards the "back end of CRD property. If you were to drive South on the service road leading away from the office and look to your right you would see a sloped chunk of ground where Dan Everett believes a Gold copper resource was published over one hundred years ago in a Butte paper. This is one of the areas that the newly hired Geologist will be grabbing samples and doing research to determine new places to drill. Apparently the data / records are lost or misplaced for this resource estimate. If these drilling records should be found, it would be most helpful in picking out other places to drill.
Dan believes that the property could contain a copper porphyry(?) system. That would be wonderful but I am a PM guy. With the new drill they buy, they will be poking quite a few holes around the property. It might only take one jaw dropping
Gold intercept to really move the stock IMO.
Drilling will also be done underground to extend the gold bearing zones. IMO there is no need to run to the Phillipines to look for new ventures. If Gene has a hard time coming to Silver Star Mt. because of his health, the logistics in getting to the Philipines has to be worse. Hawk, I hope this helps you visualize some of the things I discussed at mexicomike;'s forum and hope I was able to convey to you why there is a lot more promise at the Madison and the surrounding Coronado claims. More later.
