I see the Amec trucks all over the lowermainland, I believe this is a great aquistion! This should increase their revs locally! ...Well done for a change!

I checked out their site in Langley this weekend - 10 work trucks in yard.  I agree, looks like it could be a solid company with diversified services.  It would be interesting to drive by on a weekday to see how many trucks are out on worksites.  Also, site is 5 min drive from LIT office, so consolidation of office space is likely.  The press release mentioned operational

Amec is an impressive & well managed company with a number of execellent operators in the field. We use them on many of our jobsite throughout the entire lower mainland. I've also been to their office on Logan Ave. and can tell you they have at least 18 trucks. Along with 4 or 5 pieces of heavy equipment from backhoes, excavators to track loaders.

I agree!  Before the tenative acquisition, LTE was essentially a shell company with only the Brooks project in negotiation.  With AMEC they get a diversified company with strong operation experience and I expect a pipeline of projects.  They should have a much better chance to close the Brooks project plus increase future business.
