Massive Concentrate Volumes Through Point Rousse

FireFly secures Port Access Agreement to export up to 1Mt / year of mineral concentrate from Pine Cove Deep Water Port, located only 6km from Green Bay Copper-Gold Project

Typically, Rambler processed 250,000 tons of copper ore which produced about 17,000 tons of copper concentrate containing  about 4500 tons of copper at an average grade of about 25% copper .

In other words, the copper concentrate weighed 17,000 tons .

Lets say that Firefly is aiming at 45,000 tons of copper ( 10 times ) per year contained in about 170, 000 tons of concentrate from 2.5 million tons of copper ore.

Thats a huge increase from normal Rambler production .

To get to 1 million tons of copper concentrate , they would have to mill about 11.5 million tons per year which is way above the milling capacity of consolidated processing capacity envisaged in my calculations .

Now, Maritime envisaged Point Rousse Deep water port as a mineral concentrate import/ export terminal

It looks like Firefly is looking at the same use of the Deep Water port which would imply about 250,000 tons of copper ( in concentrate ) being exported/ imported through Point Rousse.

At  $10,000 cad per ton of copper in Concentrate, Point Rousse mineral operations as envisaged by Firefly would gross about $2,5 billion cad per year.

This seems extraordinary to me but Firefly/ Bellevue do not think small...

To deal in these volumes, their business would be smelting and / or refining which is a need in Canada  as there  is only one of these in Canada . These refine both copper and gold to full purity. This is not a guess on my part based on the fact that the Ming mine nor processing capacity at Point Rousse can produce nor process  1 million tons of mineral concentrate . So these ...more
