There is nothing shady going on with MAW, I believe their management group is one of the better ones out there in the junior sphere.
The Aussie proposed spinoff isn't intended to be a distraction, I really think they feel the company is best served by having MAW-Finland and MAW-Australia as two separately functioning entities. I don't own any Aussie shares nor do I care to personally. I would more likely sell any shares and roll the proceeds back into MAW-Finland as that is their primary flagship and the one with the most potential.
M. Hudson is likely in Australia because those are his roots. Mawson was a historical Australian explorer, so most the of the group has ties to Australia and I understand why they wanted to branch off into that direction.
