RE:RE:RE:Minority Gov The Liberals could form a new government with the NDP. It would be very difficult for Jagmeet Singh to back down from his pipeline opposition given his riding is in Burnaby. The Conservatives and Liberals could align legislatively if needed but I don't see it going there unless the project gets stopped in the courts. I'm not sure how the project could get stopped at this point except through the courts. Maybe new regulations and reviews? I just think the forming of a Left Coalition government would at the very minimum push the sentiment level around pipelines and the O&G sector to new lows. The long term (5-10-20) years doesn't look good for pipeline development in this country. We have about 35% solid Conservatives in Canada today. The rest of the country is to the Left. Young people are being brainwashed by leftist educators. Conservatives skew largely to an older demographic. The Left and Liberals in particular are also very good at courting the new Canadian vote. The effects of climate change are becoming more pronounced and it's already a top issue for Canadians. I think in 4-8-12 years a significantly smaller percentage of Canadians will be Conservatives. If Maxime Bernier manages to establish a new party that can syphon 7-8% of the Conservative vote then we're really in trouble.
