Where does DermTech come in?

I've been a long time follower of the board, but this is my first post.

I've been monitoring social media for new information about MDX and have recently noticed an increase in marketing coming from the Medx Brazil Instagram page. I take this a a good sign that MDX is stepping up their promotional activities in Brazil in spite of the pandemic.

While searching social media, I can across the company DermTech (DMKT) on the Nasdaq -which operates in the same space as MDX and recently announced a huge contract with a Texas insurance company.

I know the market is big enough for them both to operate, however it does give me some pause as to what the future holds for MDX and which technology is superior.

I'd appreciate anyone's thoughts on this, especially Insightful's as he really seems to have a good handle of the dermatology space.

In my opinion this is just insanely valued. It is currently trading at a market capitalization of $1.26 Billion USD. It latest quarter they lost $.50 cents a share. I know the dermatological community is upset with their outlandish claims. It sound good but to use the strips correctly requires a patient to thoroughly clean the area to be tested, then they need to scrape the suspicious mole or ...more

Fair enough response. Please enlighten us why Mdx has a low market cap and zero marketing avenues and why its shares are performing at pathetic range. Seems like Derm Tech has at least an offering to its investors. Can Medx say the same. patience can only run so long. Results are expected and by now should be demanded by investors. Or can you sit back and tell us who have been here for a very ...more

Insightfull, are you being paid by MDX ?  The reason I ask this is, you seem to have a lot  to say about MDX in a most annoyingly positive way. Yet nothing you say has really come to any fruition....   It's been two and a halve yrs of reading comments in this lobby about MDX . The best I've ever seen is .16 cents.      just curious.  Swampcat

yes, Insightful1 is/was a MDX employee. Previously I asked if they were part of the company and the response was that he/she was not part of the executive team (that might be different now with changes, who knows)  So, I figure they have a good knowledge of the inside workings but that is tempered by the delusion that they are running a successful company. That is my bias - If you have ...more

so I took your advice and followed up with both an email and phone call. Only to get zero response. I chose to wait a few days given the weed end but honestly you can't still be thinking that I am trying to get answers for ridiculous questions at this point. Why is this so difficult. I would rather Mike just answer these questions than hiring mediocre firms. Medx should be behaving like a ...more

That sums up their entire sentiment toward investors: Act like a penny stock and you'll be treated like one.

The arrogance of the 'professionals'. You should have told them you were a doctor! They might have got down from their ivory tower and treated you as an equal. This is part of the problem, they are not business people, but what they don't realize is that they are vulnerable to a take-over from people who are, at which point they are all out. Can't happen soon enouh for me.

Well I suggest you may have dialed the wrong number. I would challenge your point and ask another regular poster to try and contact MedX's IR firm. I am sure you will recieve a prompt response. https://www.venturenorthcapital.com/ Contact: Bill Mitoulas Office: 416.479.9547 You have asked this the financial reporting question before and I have answered it for you.
