I'm glad we agree on curtailing insults on people. That being said, I don't think I ever chided you for your actual investing analysis. Moreover, as previously mentioned, I believe you have every right to express your opinions. Frankly speaking, your posts pique my interest and help me guard my optimism. Certain types (myself included) can tend to get emotionally high unneccesarily or even to our detriment. Bottom line - holding posters accountable does not equal personal insults and it is therefore fairgame. People are equal, and therefore don't need insults. Ideas are not equal, and therefore are fair game for critique.
Regarding Shylock, I admit I do enjoy when he pumps up MGM. His prose is excellent (not that everyone, like yourself, has to like it or agree). His great good fortune to all shtick isn't for everyone, clearly. What I am really confused about is your accusation of my "complete silence when he posts his extreme right wing racist and mysogynistic lies and conspiracy theories." I'm not sure to which posts you refer, and I'm obviously not paying close enough attention. Furthermore, I reject the notion that I am trying to be the moral authority on this bullboard. My initial gripe was, and remains, in the personal insults (towards me and subsequentally Shylock, as it were) that occurred. In no way was that action connected to sticking up for anything else. Everyone is free to have their own opinions. I have neither the time, nor interest, nor authority to act as the arbitor of posts in general. Happy posting, Ang, and GLTA!
