If MKO stock price was indeed "too cheap" then mgmt. and the directors would be buying it hand over fist.
Follow The Money. How does mgmt. benefit from a higher share price?
Management has bought stock. Wexford has bought stock. They benefit from a higher stock price just like I do as a shareholder.
I don't understand the negativity. Interest costs are negligible vs the returns on buybacks at these valuations. How much they actually buy back depends on if other shareholders decide to buy ahead of them or not.
