They know the field and people involved - and even IF they thought the field was worthwhile (which they don't) and wanted to do a deal, it would be closer to 10-12:1. But highly unlikely they'd do a deal before they see the results of the upcoming step out well (spudding Q4 - results Q1) - a well that could double reserves - and push any potential deal to 20-25:1.
MMT has much more attractive opportunities onshore - market will be informed in due course.
Still think fair value for MRP is around
.30 - will it sell at such a premium in this market? Perhaps. But can't see it sellijg anywhere near the numbers that that are so blithely bandied about on this board.
