MTB Metals Corp V.MTB

Alternate Symbol(s):  MBYMF

MTB Metals Corp is a Canadian mineral exploration company. The Company has six active projects spanning 670 square kilometers (67,587 hectares) in the prolific Golden Triangle of northern British Columbia. Its projects include Telegraph, American Creek, Red Cliff, BA property, Theia and Southmore. The Telegraph project is located in the vicinity of four porphyry deposits being advanced by mining companies: Galore (Teck / Newmont), Schaft (Teck), Saddle (Newmont) and the operating Red Chris copper-gold mine (Newcrest / Imperial Metals). The American Creek project is centered on the historic Mountain Boy silver mine. The project is road accessible and 20 kilometers (km) from the deep-water port of Stewart. Red Cliff is a past producing gold and copper mine in which the Company holds a 35% interest. The BA property is a silver-lead-zinc mineralization located approximately four km from the highway. The Southmore is in the midst of some of the deposits in the Golden Triangle.

Giddy up Assay Labs

Giddy up Assay LabsWhile we wait, ponder the meaning of the last NR:

“Three known targets and the newly discovered Upper Ruby target were successfully drilled in the 2020 program. Sulphide minerals including argentite, acanthite, tetrahedrite, tennantite, galena, chalcopyrite and sphalerite were observed in drill core from all four target areas. The presence of silver bearing minerals in the widely distributed targets is highly encouraging. Assays are pending, with labs facing unprecedented back logs and turn-around times.”

Rock wonks will know those minerals indicate a poly-metallic emplacement - silver, copper and zinc.  Given the model over the hill to the East, the theory that the high grade silver historic surface showings were indicative of a much larger multi-metal sulphide deposit ... is no stretch.

With many moose-pasture paper-hangers you might be inclined to be pretty cynical about notations of some undetermined (potentially minuscule) mineralization in unassayed drill cores.  You know, uneconomic Trace mineral grades ginned up to move the stock price.  Based on a long track record of not being a slimy pumper, but in fact a fairly reliable, grounded analyst of hundreds of junior explorer plays over the years, I’m kind of pumped-up that Larry would use such positive language just based on what they could see under the magnifying glass as the core went off to the labs.

A few long high grade intersections and this little company is going to pop onto a lot of radars ... and the price should really move up to a different level altogether.

Golden triangle is going to be an even hotter buzz in 2021 ... and if PMs and metals play out the way they are trending after years of neglect, mine depletion and underinvestment ... hop on the train now!
