International Ranger Corp (Pink Sheets: IRNG), a Canadian uranium exploration company, announced on 23 February that its phase two drill programme on the Whiskey Gap Uranium Project has started two weeks ahead of schedule.
This drilling follows up on the drilling results from the Whiskey Gap project in late 2005.
Anomalous radioactivity, up to a maximum thickness of five metres, was encountered in seven drill holes over a wide area within carbonaceous mudstones, in association with a thick sandstone channel sequence.
The radioactive zones are thought to be enriched with uranium. The radioactive zones also contain significant, copper, arsenic, molybdenum, vanadium and barium, the company said
