Trading of Yanzhou Coal Mining Company Limited in Hong Kong and New York is Suspended

HONG KONG, Dec. 5 /PRNewswire-Asia-FirstCall/ -- Yanzhou Coal Mining Company Limited [YZC][SEHK][1171],announces that, following a request made by the Company to the StockExchange of Hong Kong Limited, trading in its H shares was suspendedwith effect from 9:38 a.m. on 5 December 2008 pending the release of anannouncement in relation to price sensitive information of the Company.

Trading in the Company's ADSs on the New York StockExchange was also suspended with effect from 9:30 a.m. Eastern StandardTime on December 5, 2008.

The Company has made an application to the StockExchange of Hong Kong Limited to resume trading in the H shares of theCompany with effect from 9:30 a.m. on 8 December 2008.

Yanzhou Coal Mining Company Limited is the largestcoal producer in Eastern China. The Company is principally engaged inthe underground coal mining, preparation and processing and sales aswell as the railway transportation of coal. The Company was establishedas a joint stock company incorporated in the People's Republic of Chinaon September 25, 1997.
