Magazine Article

Just an FYI in case anyone here is interested... I just got the latest issue of CoalUSA magazine (March issue) and thetre is a 1.5 page article on NAG - it talks about progress in Kentucky and the specifics of the current operation.

Has anyone else read this?

Maybe I can scan it and post it up for people here that aren't subscribers

Hey Pitbullish, Finally got it uploaded after having some scanning issues...here is the main part. There is another paragraph or two on a previous "Industry focus" page. I'll type that out: I think it makes more sense if you read it first, and then read the scanned page "Not all new mine developments in the US this year will be underground; one operator is getting its footing ...more

Thanks for posting,Great to have a third person perspective.  This is so much better then a NAG release would be.  We have numbers!!  and confirmation of profits!! like this statement wrt mine No. 1::...Shafet said that operation, despite its small scale, was proving to be profitable"   ... also the quality of output has been a pleasant surprise.  The augers ...more

Wouldn't mine # 2 be the one that the permit was rejected?  If that is the case, one would not expect it to be up and running for some time yet.  Until the permit application is complete, the last advertisement can't be done and that will take 30 days past the date of when the permit is approved.  From: Adamson, Jim  ...more

When I said in my last post...."and that will take 30 days past the date of when the permit isapproved."  I should have said when the application is completed and accepted and not 30 days from when it is approved.

"Administrative corrections" seems like a minor thing. The mining journal probably knows that and so they rightly assume they will produce by spring. Now, the mistakes and elays are annoying but none of us is perfect, and they seem to be getting better.I do think that Nag longs will be well rewarded, in the near future. Maybe Taylor will do another writeup?????????????????????? hmmm
