1.71g/t Gold over 178m at LaBlancaThis is a breakdown of the latest results that my last post included.
The news release wasn't worded in the best way for most folks to get a grasp of the significance of the gold results NET just received.
In a nutshell this is what they did:
They did 190 meters of underground drifting (tunneling)
They sampled 188 meters of that and sent it for assays.
The samples consisted of 2 meter continuous chip samples bagged and sealed.
This is much more accurate than taking 'random' samples that can cause 'high grading'
Essentially they sampled ALL OF THE TUNNELING THEY DID. NO GAPS.(188m of 190m was sampled)
They came back with an average of 1.71g/t gold over 178m within 188 meters of drifting.
95% of the drifting contained gold.
I liken this to a company drilling one 190m hole and hitting 178m of 1.71g/t gold with gold starting at surface and ending in mineralization.
I've broken down the news release so that more people can understand it, and see how
they got an average grade of 1.71g/t over 178 meters.
Total of 188 Meters sampled. (94 batches, each a 2 meter continuous chip sample)
These were the highlights.
5.01 g/t over 4m
4.55 g/t Au over 14m
2.45 g/t Au over 18m.
Here is the breakdown.
Internal Zone
41 samples (82m) avg 2.42g/t (198.44 gram meters)
External zone
37 samples (74m) avg 1.08g/t (79.92 gram meters)
The Central zone
2 samples (4m) avg 5.01 g/t Au (20.04 gram meters)
9 samples (18m) avg 0.37 g/t Au. (6.66 gram meters)
In total it looks like 89 of the 94 samples were gold bearing.
That means 178 meters of 188 meters was gold bearing.
There was 305.06 grams of gold over that 178 meters.
Divide it out you get 1.71 Grams per Tonne over 178 Meters
