Press release
The gold mineralization at Keates West is of two types. There is the older, refractory gold mineralization frozen inside both sulphides and arsenides. This creates the large widths of "smoke" around the Quartz veins. The Quartz veins came later and are variably mineralized with high grade gold.
If they can extend the smoke westwards, away from the Appleton fault, the ounces will pile up quickly. The high grade Quartz veins will be bonus. This will become an open pit target. The shallow dip and depth are both conducive to an open pit.
I noticed that 22-960 is their deepest hole to date. It is possible that there is a dilation at depth similar to the Central dilation of the Keates Main zone (the jewelery box).
Keates North is more of the same. These narrow, high grade gold veins seem to be the norm of the Appleton fault. Narrow is not synonymous with unmineable. It just means that undesirable wall rock has to be mined out on either side. I will let the miners worry about that.
Jet another high grade gold vein, this time near Golden Joint, is also more of the same. The gold is everywhere!
