Palisades

PalisadesPerhaps I can clear up some confusion as to what Palisades is and what their intentions might be with regard to NFG.

Palisades is a resource merchant bank which finances juniors via private placements and the acqusition and exercise of warrants to build significant positions in these companies.

Their website states they currently hold interest in over 100 juniors.

Some of the names in which they have a larger stake include NFG, LAB, and SPOT.

For larger investments in companies like those mentioned above, their stated goal is to build control positions in said companies in the hope that ".....they will be of interest to larger companies, providing the potential to realize change of control premiums in addition to value appreciation".

Having stated the above, I suspect Palisades is in no hurry to see NFG bought out anytime soon. However, how long it will be content to let the company run solo is anyone's guess - could depend on how sweet Palisades considers any future offers from suitors (which I'm quite sure will take place if they haven't already).
