I once had a tailings dam to build at what was the largest gold mine in the province. I had my shovel and tractor man and I called in a bunch of owner operators with 10 wheelers. At 8:00 am as the shift was starting the mine foreman came and said why tf did you call all those trucks in for they are all sitting waiting to get loaded.
I said come back in 15 minutes. They were all off and on their way after which it was such a pretty sight to see. Perfectly timed because there were the exact number of units required to keep the excvator busy. I miss that stuff some days sitting at my desk. Sniff. Sniff sniff.You keep the machine that costs the most busy at all times and thats the excavator which costs 5 times a 10 wheeler. Stupid foreman, didnt appreciate art.
