Gold Gold and more Gold

I noticed that NFG are getting more aggressive with their step out holes to the south on the Keats Zone. This latest step out hole was 65 meters further south from the last hole. So the grade is improving at depth towards the southern end of the Keats Zone and the mineralization is dipping to the south getting deeper down as it gets closer to the highway. I mentioned this before that the drill on the Keats is only about 1500 feet from the highway now.  And on the other side of the highway the Knob Zone is about 1 km from the highway but they have put holes in very close (within a couple hundred feet)  on the other side of the highway. The Knob Zone had a historical resource of 77k ounces (near surface) and it is dipping to the north getting deeper as it approaches the highway. I'm going out on a limb and say eventually the two zones will come together deep down underneath the highway. Just my own theory. Still a lot of ground between the two zones but hey it's the weekend and it's fun to dream.

Also on the northern end of the Keats Zone the high grade appears to come very near surface. The Lotto Zone is not very deep and they say it's 2km north of the Keats. I often wonder if all of these zones come together at depth or are they all just offshoots from the main Appleton fault. My guess is the fluid come up through the Appleton fault and spread out through

We know based on a news release from back in January that they intersected high grade gold on the Appleton fault itself that they called the Sunday Zone. (See news release below) This is an important news release below. It appears that the Keats Zone and Lotto Zones are parallel structures to the main Appleton fault offset 200 to 400 meters. Still much to learn but the pieces of the puzzle are coming together and I suspect the NFG geologists have got it figured out now and hence the reason for the more aggressive step out holes.

Megacopper, I suspect that the gold ascends the Appleton Fault and then gets trapped in splay faults, resulting in the greater concentration of higher grade mineralization. It's conceivable that Keats, Lotto and Knob are splay faults. Have you ever seen a magnetic map of their property?

Megacopper, I found a magnetic map. Looking through the NFG Presentation, I noticed the mineralized trends in Lotto are NS, at a 45* to the Appleton Fault, while the mineralized trends for Keat are NE-SW heading for the Appleton Fault. Check the Presentation. To me, this looks like gold mineralization is in the splay faults off the Appleton Fault.

Can you share a link to that map? I would like to look at that and I am in search LAB's similar map as well to see how thongs lay there as well

Ok thanks. I think you are correct on the splay faults coming off the Appleton fault. I wonder about SIC's Moosehead property on the other side of Mt. Peyton because the mineralization looks identical over there but it is so far away from the Appleton Fault. Perhaps the Appleton Fault is just a small piece of an even bigger puzzle. I think there are a lot of faults up through this ...more

Megacopper, from what I can see, SIC is on a separate, completely different fault structure, and not part of the Appleton Fault. SIC can still have great mineralization, but it has its own source for gold. There seems to be 2 major structures, one being the Appleton Fault Zone, that runs from north of Gander to as far south as the Canstar property. The second major structure runs from north of ...more

Yes the Moosehead property that SIC has is definitely not on the Appleton fault. I think everyone is in agreement on that one. And what you are saying about the two structures is correct from what I know of it. But the favourable geology and style of orogenic mineralization on the Moosehead property has been confirmed with drilling in core samples to be similar to that found on the ...more

Megacopper you have been more than enough. Your posts have covered most  everything and more. You have put to words things I would not dare admit. Cool your jets friend you may blow up...lol.  With some thinking before I thought hitting this deep would double the resource but it is clearly so short sighted. I knew things should get richer the deeper you  go but this is insane ...more

It's hard to stay grounded with a discovery like this one. It's a biggie and the grade is phenomenal. And as good as it has been so far I still think it will get better deeper down. Like I have said numerous times before I think most investors will be amazed at how high NFG's share price goes over the next year. This is a once in a lifetime gold discovery!!! It has everything ...more

Agreed Mega hard to stay grounded and we will get better deeper down but when will we hit antiium? I still cannot get my head around it and if I did I am scared I mite P myself a little. What a company ,what a management team, what ownership, what vision, what a land package, what a game plan What NEW Found Gold IKE

ike, the Greek is an impul;se buyer, he usually loses when he does that. So like always, The Greek started positions in 6 other miners in Newfoundland. The Greek has always enjoyed stock message boards and usually got nothing but wasted time for his efforts. But this time, it's differnt, because of posters like you and Megacopper. Megacopper, do you know of a geology map near Kepenkeck Lake? The closest I get is by Honsberger gold occurrences. There's a pile of gold occurrences in the Labrador Gold property area by the way. Interesting map.
Comment by megacopper on May 23, 2021 5:37pm
No I don't need a geology map. I've got access to a retired rock doctor who worked in NL all his life and he wrote a few papers in his younger years on the geological occurrences in NL. Unfortunately back in the 60's and 70's they were looking for base metal deposits (VMS deposits) and not gold. Him and his team of prospectors might have even staked some of  these ...more

Yes Mega it scares me when you say "buy more of the good ones". I tried to talk so many into NFG and they kept telling me it is too expensive now  they will go buy some stock with 12 acres of discarded land from a used car salesman. There are a lot of good reputable companies out there but you have to look for them. Don't just buy because they are cheap buy because you have& ...more

This could be the big one Megacopper.....the big squeeze.       1. Blow out results released before a long weekend not full absorbed by market.        2. We have lit a fire for all Newfoundland stocks and it could get crazy stupid.         3. Our market cap has put a lot of extra attention on us this year.           ...more

Stink Mega you old sweet talker you got me going so bad I never mentioned volume. Will we have million share days every day of the 4 day week? I think we could. Tues should be a shoe in but any news or analysts now jumping in could really fan the flames. The littler gaffers around us have been hitting great volume days us not so much.   I have enjoyed posting for the most part. Hard to contain my excitement because I knew this was going to be really good but it has turned into something really special. This is a rare high grade gold discovery. How high the share price eventually goes nobody knows for sure but it's going to be a whole lot higher in my opinion. This discovery will be given a huge premium because the ...more

Ok that makes sense and would explain the exceptionally high grade. No I haven't seen a magnetic map of the property.
