I agree. I am very confused by this also. Makes no sense really for what the purpose of a HALT is. I could buy and sell NFGC on the NYSE via my brokerage any time? What if there is insider trading now? Very odd indeed.

That is plain DUMB. No. The HALT in Canada is at request of Company.

C'mon C'mon...  Most likely:  different stock exchange = different rules.  Venture exchange is always halting stocks that have pending news, Cheers.

My only guess is the following: The news will be for the purpose of dissemination in Canada only therefore you have no basis for a US HALT. Such news is often drilling news ect.  I may be off here so anyone wiser feel free to jump in for thoughts?

Yeah, Ike. It seemed over done in the American trading. I'm back at work with my still healing, minor break in my hand, and was in one of our trucks when the halt came, but still trading in the US.......I took BD's advise and sold a few, cuz I bought shares in the American OTC Market.......now, I have to buy them back......got the equivalent of 10.19 CAD$, but pure luck.......I hadn't

Good move Dan always nice to pick up a couple bucks on trading. I kind of think that whatever this halt in Canada only (like Red Rose tea) is a one off. I think the regulators will try to pin it on NFG and fine them  for not halting. They can always plead ignorance and just pay the fine. Too many guys would be trading if this continued to happen.  We will back to at least 2 releases
