The Sad part - a note to NFG
One has to wonder what was in their minds when they gave the OK to the second simultaneous group of 6.2 mill shars and then gave control over to bmo to disperse at $6.50. Of course, those buying the Charities would use the write-off against shares they already had! (I would have!).
Perhaps a more effective way to have handled the second lot would have been to have gone out to the longs...and said...might something like this be of interest? (Oh...and btw...the money goes straight to the company!). And do not for a minute think that the company doesn't know exactly who you are!
Me, at the moment, I'm broke for cash - but given 5-6 business days, I could well have spoken for 10k or perhaps more shares - and would happily let my broker handle the details (so the company doesn't have to chase me!). While that may seem a paltry amount of shares, I do not think that I would have been alone in this regard...and we could have chewed our way through a bunch of the "offer"..AND have been happy to do so!
Think of it Collin...no broker your end...cash going straight to the company...from establlished longs...and it would have set the SP at $6.50. Which is what we all want, when it comes down to it.
Instead, you have a situation where people are scrabbling for peanuts at $5.50...knowing that the elephant in the room is sitting there at $6.50 ! And folks don't like it!
Methinks that you shot yourself in the foot this time round - I remain curious as to how you plan to stick-handle your way though this.
