BC HYDRO

BC HYDROBC Hydro will not pay the 16 to 20 cents that the bankers need to pay the debt alone never mind the DSCR of 1.5 that will require a 25 cent PPA.  With California wind projects paying 10 cents plus 2 cent PTC for 12 cents total with a CAPEX of $2.3 million per MW requires 24 cents from BC Hydro to make the same returns for NKW with a CAPEX of over $4.5 Million per MW and counting.  There are over 17,000 windmills in California. The are NONE in Hecate Strait.  Operations and maintenance will also be further costly.

All NKW RIP is asserting some powerful facts and none of the NKW pumpers can mathematically support an argument to support their pumping.

The pumpers may be right in the sense the NKW propaganda machine might keep the pumping in the $2 to $3 dollar range alive for another year but then NKWRIP is right when the music stops there will be no chairs.

Pumping without the hard numbers which no one on this pumping board can support does harm to the renewable energy industry.

By the way, who is the land owner of these proposed wind turbines in Hecate Strait??

When will BC Hydro award a 25 cent PPA?  Last PPA in 2007 to Earth first was 8.3 cents.

Who will own the turbines?  Really man, who will own the turbines ??

NKW sold half of the project for $600,000.  That's $4,000 per MW.  Developer fee in California is $1,000,000 per MW.

NKW pumpers are smoking weed, big time.
