Early stages
In 2017 -2018 there was another wind farm developer DONG. They backed out to pursue more advanced project opportunities in the US. Everyone has their own idea as to why, but this wind-farm comes with added responsibilities. Both the Federal and Provincial Gov't must be involved, land claims, Hecate Strait fishing, etc. And maybe DONG saw this will be a long process and requiring a series of approvals, etc. But also a good understanding of local history and the desire of residents must be taken into consideration. Northland can fit in well here.

If all goes well, the fully completed project could have 1750-2000MW of power. That's among the world's largest wind farms. Close two twice of Site C. But will still require hydro power as backup.
