The word "burn" is figurative since it is a fire that never ends eternally separating from God. Natural fires always burn out. Even our sun will burn out one day. So that's your first mistake in misreading the Bible. Misreading the Bible is not a good approach to apologetics.

You're understimating how many separate themselves from God. It's more than just 5 billion. The New City in the New Earth is 1379 x 1379 miles in Rev. 21. A confortable number that may fit that space is about 1 billion souls roughly speaking. It's about half the size of mainland USA. If there were 50 billion souls since Adam and 250 billion in the millennial kingdom that's a savings ratio of 1 in 300, not 1 out of 3 as you suggest. Do you see how your thinking is wrong on all points?
