We can expect at least one more bid from each bidder.  FM is bound to come back in with an improved offer and it is highly unlikely Coeur will throw in the towel after only one bid.

It is clear from the press statements from both bidders that they believe the $2.70 offer price is a 'very fair price'.  Translated, they know they are getting a bargain.  With that in mind you can bet both parties have wriggle room to go higher.  You have the added fact that FM has a strong foothold in Durango and LP is adjacent to some of it's existing projects, FM does not want a competitor on it's doorstep.

Holding out for at least $3+.
