RE:RE:RE:Weather
RE:RE:RE:WeatherNo. They indicated that 40,000 of the total 250,000 were previously started indoors, and that others would be seeded in new hoop-houses on farm (all?...or some direct-seeded?). Their instagram story photo of seedbeds inside a hoop-house seems consistent with what they indicated. I cant say how long seedlings will remain in those locations. From my own experience, for the period of ~2-4 weeks after germination, indoor-seeded plants can become too top heavy to support their own weight. Maybe their cultivar selection is different from what I've grown but, otherwise, I'd anticipate planting-out of seedlings either shortly after germination, or else once stalks have firmed-up after ~4 weeks. Based on photo of seed beds, I'd further anticipate planting shortly after germination as most likely. If they had seeds in those beds (note master grower was in same photo) then it follows that I anticipate liklihood of planting-out in a week or two. That's just pure speculation on my part, though.
