RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:To-day after the bell, new Press Release of 48North Continuing with my post... acquisitions get companies from point A to B much faster than if they did it themselves. Look at the world's best known brand, Apple.
Known for innovation and creating the best products, Apple has acquired dozens of businesses over the years to accelerate their goals. iTunes is not an Apple invention. It was bought to help propel their online goal of selling, storing and sharing music for iPods. The list is endless, from Safari, Final Cut Pro, GarageBand, Siri voice control, Fingerworks for touch and gesture based control and more recently Beats and Shazaam. Almost everything people rave about Apple were features not originally created by Apple but purchased to help push their high margin consumer products. With tons of kgs of legal weed, imagine the potential for NRTH to feed a new high margin market?
Full list of Apple acquisitions and mergers here...

I don't have all the data at my disposal but I am willing to "bet" that males dominate the cannabis market. If Alison can carve out and grow a new cannabis market for women, they will own the space out right. Why go after a crowded male dominated market plagued by a low cost illegal weed when there is so much more potential to own a higher margin market with a size up to 50% of the world's pop. And since it is always harder to create a new market on your own, with the cash on hand, acquisitions will get us there much faster.

I'm going to assume that most of the individuals questioning this decision are not women, do not have a proven track record in marketing and have never built a brand.
Yet you question their decisions after looking at a website.
I choose to trust the lady at the top on this one.
