RE:My thoughts...I agree with some of your points but i think we all need to recognize that this new product is targeting the typical Cabela's / Bass Pro hunter/fisher/outdoorsman looking for a product to carry duing a hunting/fishing/bird watching etc event. Go to a Cabela's store and walk to the binocular cabinet and look at all of the range finders and binoculars for sale...there are dozens from Nikon to Bushnell all priced in the hundreds of dollars each. This device will capture images while the others do not and it will hopefully have similar features such as range / distance finding imbeded within it.
The most disturbing thing to me with the prototype description is that a 10X zoom does not seem very strong to me. NXO needs to explain what that means to the regular layman investor like me. I would have expected the zoom to be much stronger. Maybe this is leaps and bounds better than any other product on the market and if so i woulld appreciate some comments from them on this. Does it mean that you can take a photo of a small bird from 300 ft away for example?
