RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:No News in How long ? Absolutely right. Some of them are just shamelessly running a fiefdom. Everywhere I've lived or traveled I've found the local food bank to be very worthy and run mostly by volunteers not professionals. Decades ago I uncovered a big scandal at the local humane society. They changed their requirements for adoption to make it nearly impossible to adopt. Eg. If you had a job that required you to leave the cat at home during the day you couldn't have one. Same for dogs. Then, I discovered that research labs that used cats and dogs from that same humane society, paid $500 per animal and could take all they wanted. Disgusting. They were fired and the humane society shut them down with the spca taking over. Or vice versa. This was in the very wealthy city of oakville, Ontario. So you should always investigate where you send your money, even if it's a "good cause".
