7:00 am ET October 15, 2020 (Globe Newswire) Print

LantronixInc. (NASDAQ: LTRX), a global provider of Software as a Service (SaaS), engineering services and hardware for Edge Computing, the Internet of Things (IoT) and Remote Environment Management (REM), today announced the availability of its new Lantronix Open-Q(TM) 610¼SOM based on the powerful Qualcomm(R) QCS610 System on Chip (SOC). This micro System on Module (uSOM) is designed for connected visual intelligence applications with high-resolution camera capabilities, on-device artificial intelligence (AI) processing and native Ethernet interface.

"Our long and successful relationship with Qualcomm Technologies enables us to deliver powerful micro SOM solutions that can accelerate IoT design and implementation, empowering innovators to create IoT applications that go beyond hardware and enable their wildest dreams," said Paul Pickle, CEO of Lantronix.

The new Lantronix ultra-compact (50mm x 25mm), production-ready Open-Q 610 ¼SOM is based on the powerful Qualcomm QCS610 SOC, the latest in the Qualcomm(R) Vision Intelligence Platform lineup targeting smart cameras with edge computing. Delivering up to 50 percent improved AI performance than the previous generation as well as image signal processing and sensor processing capabilities, it is designed to bring smart camera technology, including powerful artificial intelligence and machine learning features formerly only available to high-end devices, into mid-tier camera segments, including smart cities, commercial and enterprise, homes and vehicles.

Bringing Advanced AI and Machine Learning to Smart Camera Application

Created to bring advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities to smart cameras in multiple vertical markets, the Open-Q 610 uSOM is designed for developers seeking to innovate new products utilizing the latest vision and AI edge capabilities, such as smart connected cameras, video conference systems, machine vision and robotics. With the Open-Q 610 uSOM, developers gain a pre-tested, pre-certified, production-ready computing module that reduces risk and expedites innovative product development.

The Open-Q 610 uSOM provides the core computing capabilities for:

-- Image processing

-- Artificial intelligence

-- Advanced audio processing

-- Low power sensor processing

Connectivity solutions include Wi-Fi(R)/BT, Gigabit Ethernet, multiple USB ports and three-camera interfaces.

"The Lantronix Open-Q 610 uSOM provides advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities that enable developers to innovate new product designs, including smart connected cameras, video conference systems, machine vision and robotics," said Jonathan Shipman, VP of Strategy at Lantronix Inc. "Lantronix micro SOMs and solutions enable IoT device makers to jumpstart new product development and accelerate time-to-market by shortening the design cycle, reducing development risk and simplifying the manufacturing process."

Open-Q 610 Development Kit

The companion Open-Q 610 Development Kit is a full-featured platform with available software tools, documentation and optional accessories. It delivers everything required to immediately begin evaluation and initial product development.

The development kit integrates the production-ready Open?Q 610 uSOM with a carrier board, providing numerous expansion and connectivity options to support development and testing of peripherals and applications. The development kit, along with the available documentation, also provides a proven reference design for custom carrier boards, providing a low-risk fast track to market for new products.

Not a single word about NXO. Other companies report progress on visual AI collaboration with Qualcomm but not NXO. Makes me to think Lantronix have a better tech, or even ALIIS is not considered as a key player and to be written off soon. Hope me feeling is wrong. I really want us to see some change in NXO!!

There is a description below of Lantronix I don't believe I included in the narrative. Their expertise is getting product to the market. They would be helpful to NXO in that way.

Yes, it's in the narrative provided as follows: "The Lantronix Open-Q 610 uSOM provides advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities that enable developers to innovate new product designs, including smart connected cameras, video conference systems, machine vision and robotics," said Jonathan Shipman, VP of Strategy at Lantronix Inc. Don't you love how this company makes you guess, dream, etc. regardless of their unsuccess?! Must admin whoever runs the parade is playing everyone fool well, or don't know ... plz help me cause nothing else is seen ... Waiting for the contract or sales. Better "soon" be sooner than AGM. Will C awker needs to get his head out of his @$s. He posts ridiculous screenshot scribbles on the Facebook investor sites and pointless memes spewing nothing but baseless optimism, and then chastises anyone who legitimately questions the company about progress. Then goes silent when people need reassurance. The story from this chump is nothing but, "You will see, you need to believe, the ...more

Tarzan, you mush have realized that by this time WC is on the winning side. He acted smart as IR moving the warrants to 36 cents and probablly selling them out above $1. He might have closed a substantial portion of his 1 million investment near $1.10. Even if NXO now go bankrupt he loses nothing. Re his IR skills ... the scammer Rhys did a better job, but it may not be his fault. Don't be ...more

wow ... did not expect you guys to complain about the company when we are so close to see the results. "so close" = "so soon" . be positive, at least until AGM and make sure you give NXO management a hard time if by the AGM there is no contaract/sales. If you hear "soon" again and you let it continue as is YOU DESERVE TO LOSE YOUR MONEY, did you hear me? Hope you did.

I do agree the question needs to be asked at the AGM about the lack of insider buying from their own investments into NXO, especially a powerhouse like Rich G. Despite his credentials and others, and the potential, this is a sticking point that is a red flag for me, and why I did liquidate my later holdings to invest in a Covid testing stock which may have more potential. Perhaps there are ...more

I would say, as investors, we ensure they answer our hard questions at AGM.  We don't have to vote for their motions if we don't want to. I think they have forgotten that there are retail investors out there, seeking answers/ information and business plans.  If they write-off DT, which I'm not sure why they would, I will be less than pleased. But, someone should also ask ...more

Stockmonster:  I think your point about lack of insider buying is a valid concern.  If the company has so much potential and deals are "coming soon", why isn't anyone from management willing to put a few dollars of their own money at risk and buy some shares, especially when the stock is down 50%?  Actions speak louder than words, and the lack of insider buying says a ...more

The venture exchange is known as the wild west . If insiders have plans of investing they would wait until uplisted before doing so . Just my thought .glta

If they have inside information they can't buy. they could get in big trouble for that. So if they know a cotract will be signed before CHristmas they will have to wait until after the announcement to buy
Comment by Truhlik on Oct 15, 2020 5:42pm
I wish that was true, the idea that insiders want to buy but can't because of a trading blackout due to contracts being signed; however, I don't see any evidence to support that hypothesis. In fact, both the CEO and CFO sold a bunch of shares just 3 weeks ago (after exercising 15-cent warrant).  If a deal was imminent, they would hang on to those shares for a little longer.    ...more
