IN PRAISE OF PETER CROSSGROVE AND THOR EATON

I would like to thank Thor Eaton and Peter Crossgrove for their service to the shareholders of Nordex. You may find it strange coming from me after I called them All Group patzies. True, they arrived as proxies of All Group brokers, unannounced, unwellcome by older shareholders ,non existent on information circular distributed prior to the annual meeting. That was bad, very bad, unethical at best.

They both resigned about the same time. Perhaps that's the sign of their personal integrity. Perhaps it was not Zuckers pushing them out. Did they get tired of serving  the people that put them there? Or they were not willing to serve them in the first place?

In one of my posts here I said here that Peter was declining in his capacity. That was based on the fact that Peter did not recognize me at one of the PDAC parties. But that could be due to the fact that I aged physically  so much over recent years,  not to his declining brain capacity.

Upon my further reflection I also came to the conclusion that my earlier comments about Thor Eaton  were also unfair, and originated from my frustration of actions of All Group bys and grls that stalled progress at Nordex.  The fact that Thor has exquisite taste for fine spirits is common knowledge but the context of my remarks was inappropriate. Thor is also quite an intelectual, and not a bad business analyst. The demise of Eaton stores probably was not so much result of his decisions. It was a right move by Thor to abandon the ship rather than pump more family moneyinto it. It was one of the first signs of the death of retail industry in modern world. And more is coming. The next one likely, in my humble opinion, will be Sears.

The fact that both came and left at the same time is not a surprise. It is a common knowledge that peter has been a friend of Eatons for a long time.  He fished with Eatons  (John, Fred, Fred Jr, John David, Thor, et al. He even was on the board of eaton of Canada. The rumour has it that he was fired from that board because he was exercising his  independent mind.
