So far, today's Cu COMEX futures [sym: HG1!] are at $4.66So, today, from where Cu opened at $4.52, this is at $4.66 current price, a $0.14 increase; where that increase is a bit more than 3%.

Hmmm ... ? Any body care to comment regarding what is going on?

Is this reflective of an imbalance in supply-demand, a weakening of the USDollar, a combination of both, or, something else altogether? Yep, there IS growing labor pressure in South America.
