Odyssey's Eastern Anatolides Field Program Completed 5/17/05 TORONTO, May 17, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Avrom E. Howard, President and CEO of Odyssey Resources Limited (TSX VENTURE:ODX) reports that Odyssey geologists have recently completed a field program over sites delineated through the processing and interpretation of Aster satellite images over its Eastern Anatolides copper-gold porphyry project area in Turkey. This generative program is a 50/50 joint venture between Odyssey and BHP Billiton. Several samples were collected by Odyssey geologists from specific locations for detailed spectrographic analysis that will in turn enable ground calibration of the satellite images and hence greater resolution in pinpointing areas of hydrothermal alteration of the type associated with porphyry copper-gold deposits. The images are being processed and interpreted by GeoSense Inc., an integrated remote sensing consultancy based in Holland. Acquisitions will be made based upon the results of this refined satellite image processing and follow up field checks. Elsewhere in Turkey, Odyssey has recently commissioned the international clay consulting firm of Peter W. Harben Inc., to review the Company's clay deposits found on its Lucky Star property, just outside the port city of Fatsa, where montmorillonite-rich bentonite deposits have been identified. Detailed analyses of the clays are being undertaken to be followed by a market study. Industrial clays are widely used from ceramics to cosmetics and house paint to environmental filters, and are the focus of a global, multi-billion dollar industry. Once the specific qualities of the clays found within the Company's property have been determined, Odyssey management will consider how these deposits may be advanced.
