Most Painful Missed Opportunity

The one that got away is definitely OneSoft Solutions (TSX-V: OSS). I’ve followed the company for almost a decade and spoke with management several times. I’ve witnessed their track record of execution. I understand their moat (which is fantastic for such a small company). I am convinced that OneSoft is a super high-quality company and one I’d like to own.

But I thought the valuation was too expensive, so I kept waiting for a pullback. And the pullback did not happen. The stock is up 75% year-to-date in a very challenging microcap market.

The lesson here is that sometimes, you must pay up for high-quality companies that can compound your capital for the foreseeable future.

(I bought a tiny starter position recently to avoid making more nightmares about it.)
