TORONTO (SHfn) – More gold was good for some shareholders Thursday, while speculators took an interest in a Columbia acquisition.
AXMIN Inc. (TSX: V.AXM, Stock Forum) shares surged as much as 33% to 12 cents on Thursday after the micro cap explorer reported a 30% increase in the Measured and Indicated Resource at Main Zone, Passendro Project in the Central African Republic. This together with the updated resources at Katsia, Baceta and the new zone Mbourou represent a 10% increase in the overall resources. The Measured and Indicated resource is now 2.0 million ounces gold (31.5 Mt grading 2.0 g/t gold) and an Inferred Mineral resource of 1.1 million ounces gold (21.7 Mt grading 1.6 g/t gold).
Orex's area, local and infrastructure are much better i think, but are we expecting similar grades? The grades make the property. Is 2gpt optimistic or should we be expecting more? Even if we hit only 1 million ounces all told on this 43-101, its early in the game and it can be expanded later. I think the gpt is more telling. Based on the releases thus far,... what should we be expecting from this new assay method and the higher cutoff of .5gpt orex has elected to use because of the nugget effect?
