Mr. Schafer holds a Bachelor of Science, Masters of Science in Geology from Miami University in 1974 and 1976 respectively and a Masters of Science in Mineral Economics from the University of Arizona and his PhD (Geology) from the University of Arizona (Tucson, Arizona), 1980.
