Repsol Recent Success:

Repsol Recent Success:

Repsol has had recent major oil discoveries offshore Brazil and Sierra Leone (this African one is what should really get you optimistic about their recent comments on the positive showings so far on Jaguar):

Go to page 7 of CGX recent presentation showing the "Equatorial Atlantic Margin Play Mirror Image to Major Discoveries" - as you can see, the Sierra Leon discovery area to the Ghana discovery area is pretty much the mirror image to the Guyana to French Guiana area and therefore if they were joined millions of years ago and then split down the middle by a lake, the geology on one side should be the same as on the other side.

Repsol's company officials making positive comments on Jaguar should fetch a lot of weight as the samples can be compared to offshore Sierra Leone drilling samples (from Anadarko) and their experience is what can give them that confidence to let the Guyana president know that the samples they showed to him on the Rig was "Positive". If this was some junior company that had no track record of success in a similar geological zone drilling, I wouldn't care about their comment on drilling so far until they complete the well but Repsol is in the know due to the similar/same geology as Sierra Leone discovery.
