RE:RE:Claritin-DDev, They had my full endorsement back in August after reading Yallup and Scotchman's analysis and learning what "emplacement", "vitrinite reflectance", "calibration", "boundary conditions" etc mean.
They now have samples. They can now "calibrate" with actual samples to establish the boundary conditions for their models. They have world reknown earth scientists on board to do this. I know that I'm being repetitive, because I've cited Yallup and Scotchman many times before, but people might want to read the link below. Just google the terms that you don't understand.
Also, besides sand structures, there are also carbonate reef structures of particular interest. Yallup and Scotchman conclude by saying: "Outputs from modelling can be used to screen for source rock in the basin, suggesting that this is of relatively low risk in this area. Instead, it is concluded that the distribution of reservoirs and seals may be the critical factors for future exploration in this area."
They can now better identify what that distribution of the reservoirs and seals is. https://www.researchgate.net/publication/330753463_Basin_Modelling_Offshore_Guyana_Predicting_Source_Rock_Risk
