Geologist with whom I worked with offshore Brazil bought himself 30 acres in Conneticut, a small diesel tractor, Kubuto or something like that, attachments like plow and other stuff. Loved it. They say that farming is like printing your own money.
A friend on mine's brother-in-law bought 91 acres in Ontario, Canada, gonna grow chestnut trees on 10 acres of it. Expects to make $150,000 per year in about 15 years selling chestnut wood. The rest, he farms. Lots of ways to make money.
