Short position

Anyone knowledgeable about shorts. Short position went from 7k to 20k as of Jan 21 to Feb 5. 20k is a tiny amount but if you look back at the past week of trading on otc, the short trades make up 50-75 percent of the trades. I can not figure that one out. Why are they trading up so much? It would be good for Frontera or CC to step in and do a shot squeeze.

Shorts down to miniscule 2665 shares from 20k as of Feb 22. So it would seems shorts are playing the stock - running it up and down. That is my guess.
