Active Petroleum System
An APS does not mean they have found commercial oil zones.....it means they have found shows or indication of the presence of hydrcarbons.
Since they logged the well while drilling and presumbably logged open hole before setting the liner, they should know if there is commercial oil in the first target zone and....they didn't go there.....leaves a lot of guessing and speculation.
My interpretation of the PR is that they are drilling in an oil prone area........and nothing else.
It's not what they said....it's what they didn't say.

Active petroleum system ..means we have found an accumulation ..that is the only thing that was lacking at Kawa to complete the trifecta ..mature source rock producing HC,reservoir and now accumulation ..forget migration pathway Kawa practically on top of the source rock...

No, Finding a hydrocarbon system does not mean its an accumulative or even commercial.or a seal on anything. Just some shows mayby in logs or cuttings, who knows right? Good indications with great potential for the Primary target. and second Hor 23 and 25. The upper Camp and Santonion mentioned, really are just bonuses to the big prize I hope.

Lol Clouder, In oil field speak low angle is anything close to vertical down. As you come up to horizontal the angle increases. Happy dreams! Lmao

I'm surprised to see so many experts putting this much weight on active petroleum system. I thought it was well known fluff terminology in oilfield. For example, recon exploring a virgin field in Namibia said they found an active system with their stratiographic wells. No one is saying they found pay: https://finance.yahoo.com/news/reconafricas-first-three-wells-confirms-040100822.html

Great point! Did they take nearly 80 days to drill 2600 meters?
