How long after a halt do they have to report news

As it is halted and no one can trade, it can remain halted as long as needed and nothing has to be reported. So it can be as short as 5 min or longer than 1 year (I have been there - was not pleasant and totally different situation). In this case I suspect less than a day.

That's interesting. That means the stock can't be shorted or people can't get their money out. Seems unethical to allow people to have their asset frozen for a year. Unless a very good reason, if you think about it.

I believe that would be a halt more on the reulatory side, Not the company type as in this situation. Breeexx comes to mind.

Definitely when it is longer than a few days, it would be on the regulatory side. Definitely not the case as today for CGX! We are looking good. Can't wait to for the NR.

i was wondering about this as well. i actually dont think its well news. other than perhaps " we've completed" we all know they needed money to complete the well. could be a farmout/farm down. or capital raise. that's my guess
