CGX Energy Inc > Blackout?

Blackout?

If that (blackout) was the case, which I don't think applies here, it would prohibit both buying or selling. If Kevin exercised on Jan 25th (disclosed 5 days later) then we should know very soon if he turned around and sold. If he did, look out below. If he didn't, bullish. The spin has already started. Tralisa part deux?  Lol

SportyJ so I agree with everything that you've said and your analysis but the only thing I would say or add is not everyone is a gambler. This (these) individuals received these options as a part of their compensation plan. As much as I want to hope they stick around to the results with us I'm also not blind to the fact that if they aren't gamblers and you just bought at $0.49 and ...more

Tiger, I respect you but if he exercised and sold please don't spin it as some how ok. Not at this critical point in drilling such an important well. He is way way way to close to what's happening and in the know to think this is just part of his compensation. This just won't pass the smell test for even the average person that's never heard of CGX.  Hopefully I'm ...more

Should he be any different than any other investor?  He is buying at 49c and selling at a higher amount and making a return on his investment.  I would say that he is mitigating his risk, not that he doesnt believe in the play.  Not everyone is going for the home run here.  We all know there is still some risk still.  What if they blow the hole or they miss.  He would ...more

Just to clarify, I meant to say IF he was to sell shares which he CLEARLY did not sell and nothing has been posted to say he sold shares otherwise.  Wrote in haste.  Sorry for the confusion.

"yep, 7 days into the drill and we haven't hit the elephant yet. I had better exercise my options and sell those new shares before everyone else does. I know the last CFO did something similar and got fired so i will do the same." lol. Shorty you make me laugh. Now, if a sale does show up i will have egg on my face but i think that is highly unlikely. The only sale could be to ...more

Blackout would apply to buying and selling. Don't think there is a blackout here.
Comment by Miftee9 on Jan 30, 2023 10:44pm
I agree.  It cannot be a blackout if he exercised options.  To get this straight for those who dont know, he as to PAY the option price (49c) for each option to get an actual share in his account.  So he would have paid for that out of his pocket plus he would have to pay the tax on the earnings.  After he does that, he owns the shares and "could" then sell those ...more
