RE: New QEC Presentation Slide 12 Imp.Igneous Intrusive might not be all that great. But Petrolympic might still have significant hydrocarbons under a cap formed by the Igneous activity. I believe an Igneous formation is magna that has cooled which is more granite like than shale.
I am more interested about Logans line. Questerre went out of their way to show the line in relation to their holdings. The overthrust of the Utica Shales and the Trenton Black River Shale is an interesting target for shale gas. It might be a little more difficult to drill but still very feasible. Talisman has drilled some very high prodution wells in this formation to the Southwest of Quebec in Ontario and New York. I remember seeing a diagrahm from Corridor Resources that show their plan to drill into a similiar overthrust formation in New Brunswick
