The problem with using ignore features is that it doesn't help others gauge reliability of posts.
By not giving feedback on a post people unfamiliar with the system may be lead to believe that the posts with 5 stars contain valuable information.
But on this site it appears that 1 star is the lowest rating you can give somebody; so a post with all 1 star ratings would appear to be more valuable than a post with no feedback.
Ah well, I think I'm making too much of this already.
