I smell Oil

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the elevated anomaly of gas below the salt an indication of oil. I remember something about that the oil at a lower level gives a way gas that get stuck under the salt.

Wouldn't the anomaly of gas be much greater if in fact it was gas and wouldn't the gas be right below the salt? I would think that the gas would seep through and get stuck right under the salt cap.
