RE: Pasacancha could be the real company makerThat's right, if the silver gold extends to the top of the mountain the it will be a world class deposit. At the AGM Duran said it will drill two holes from the top of the mountain 550 meters down to the level of the tunnels. Glen O'Gorman, the President said these two holes would be the most exciting holes drilled anywhere in the world in 2007.
Sampling from the tunnels will be cheap. Electricity, fans, lights and pumps are being installed to begin a systematic exploration progam. The results will be put into a 3D model.
Samples from the tunnels:
Purisima Tunnel
meters Ag/t Au/t
17.1 1,161.5 3.23
43.0 103.9 0.17
19.2 324.7 1.49
San Ernesto Tunnel
23.4 110.0 2.01
Samples from the Shogebampa Dump
1,359 Ag/T 1.26 Au/t 12.13% Pb 4.72% Zn
The samples from the dump must be considered very carefully. These were grab samples. Any time you have a grab sample it was taken because it looked like it had mineralization and therefore is not representative. However it is also an obvious place to look. There are many old dumps from former producing mines in 3rd world countried that are rich enough to be mined. They need to take some bulk smples from various places in the dump and have them milled at see what is recovered.
I'll check out the plans for this dump.
Back to the tunnels, these samples are fantastic and if the entire mountain top is the same we would have a very rich deposit. I saw the photographs at the PDAC in March which shows the meralization coming to the surface. Therefore there would be NO stripping and it would be mined as an open pit, transported down the mountain by conveyors. These conveyors would be used to generate electricity.
(Electricity is on site at present but generating your own is a cost saving).
We could have another Aurelian. Not as rich in gold but with massive intersections of several hundred meters of low cost silver and gold. This is really the unknown Ace in the hole but in the mean time we have a known copper deposit with growing value. I beleive our downside is about $5/share and is wide open on the upside for both increasing the size of the copper as well as the silver and gold.
