Living the Dream!

Living the Dream!Hope you guys get to live the dream.  That said, the penny mining industry is all about puffing.  They use to out and out lie now they have to be a little more careful not to end up in jail but puffing with stories like there could be 1-4 million ouces in the ground still!  Nothing wrong with that I might have 1-4 million ounces in the ground on my hunting property...Popular puff are like "potential for a high grade carlin deposit"  lol.   Stong thick veining could be seen.  Well heck I can see that by just looking down while standing at the urinal lol.

So back to reality!  I see people posting the depth and grade of the tailings lol.  Look they have little clue of the size or grade of the tailings.  Some surface trenching and assays merely tells you whether you want to chance spending the money on drilling.  That is all they know so far which is why they are drilling.

1.  Depth of the tailings they really do not know!
2.  Grade of tailing they really do not know!
3.  Minging pre 1900 generally left alot of gold in the tailings.  However, mills in the area were running tailing piles in the 1920's for just that very reason.  In other words what is on the surface may not be what is 50 feet down or 100 feet and so on hence drilling the tailings.
4.  Tailings generally contain finer gold so depending on weather location of stream and rivers could have washed out over the years.
5.  Some of the tailings may just be waste back then it was often removed and placed in the same pile.  Again why you need to know grades as you layer down with a drill.

I am not sure how many of you guys watched old Westerns but think about this!  So if you watch programs like "Gold Rush" you will see them running the gold through a sluice box.  The old timers were not that stupid while they were not as effiecient as today they would run a sluice box down the whole side of a mountain lol so they did not miss as much as you think sometimes.  Alot of it depended on geography and access to lots of water....

At anyrate, keep the dream alive!
