Hey folks - 2 g/ton will do !
Present open pit mining is profitable at present gold prices at 2 grams/tonne ! If that stockpile shows at that - no dynamite - just a big excavator, a couple of trucks, a grizzly and wash plant and gravity separator - we are - will be - big winners going in and coming out, when the U/G - lower levels are mined - yr 2020 + recoveries vs 1910 economics - and $2000 oz Gold compared to $35/oz - I'm thinking it's all go ahead !! So go ahead Ron ! Looking for stockpile assays of course - but they will just be the first golden indicators !! Pure Gold in Red Lake - poured the first brick from a stockpile of addit/why not material to prove up the mill and processes - first pour - 3/4 x $1M -- with just "available" material So let's go Providence - make a $$$ million on "available" stockpile - and rock on!!

Line Wild guess but if you could just use an excavator you would be doing a bulk sample to a toll mill it is cheaper than drilling and assaying a pile of holes....Given this was a lode mill I suspect it requires something other than gravity separation.

Oh yes - absolutely correct - you need a grizzly ( jaw crusher), rod or ball mill - then wash plant/ Gravity separation - I'm thinking material processed down almost down to the consistency of flour before sieving out impurities and leaving the gold recoverable !

You do realize the startup costs you are describing are probably greater than the value of the waste pile itself ... right?
