I have tried Cortexica for Macy's Vs the Slyce App. No contest, all the Coretexica (Macy's) app does is recognize colour. The use has to enter the category and sub-category description, leaving nothing but colour to be determined by the image taken.

i.e. if you taje a picture of a red sweater, with Cortexica you have to select "mens" then "sweaters". Its really not very intuative and from what I can tell doesn't do anything other than colour recognition. Pounce on the other hand took an image of a mug. It suggetsed I buy a similar mug. Different product but all that was required from the user was a click then I could buy (based on the inventory of the Pounce database).

Pounce is literally the only authentic delivery of this technology in the market place.

I had the same experience with the Pounce app. I took a picture of a men’s black Gucci belt that I own( the picture was blurry) and the Pounce app still identified  what the product was and matched similar results.   Once retailers all get on board and upload their catalogues of inventory through the Pounce (SLYCE Powered) app, the sky will be the limit for any visual recognition ...more
