Job Purpose

Reporting to the Site Senior Science Manager, you will be responsible for the maintenance and growth of algal cultures from seed stock to grown in the Photobioreactors through to harvest.

The role works closely with the Livalta, British Sugar and Pond teams to implement a standard operation procedure around optimal algae growth – to allow for informed decision making around technical/ commercial feasibility of a commercial size algae production plant based on Pond’s technology.

Furthermore, the role works closely with the Livalta / British Sugar/ Pond R&D teams to manage the laboratory, including health and safety as well as quality assurance / quality control standards, processes and ways of working.
